Thank you for making a few minutes to learn more about the PickensPlan. Of course, my ego wants it to be about me but the reality is it’s not me spending millions of dollars spreading the word about energy independence, it isn’t me that can get air time on CNN, MSNBC, Fox, NBC or get my editorials published in newspapers such as the Wall Street Journal or magazines such as Forbes and it isn’t me who spent a lifetime successfully working in the oil and gas business. The credit belongs to T. Boone Pickens…one of the few men in the U.S. who has the credibility to speak about energy policy and respected enough people on all sides of the political spectrum listen.
But in reality, anyone who spends some time reading about the PickensPlan and learning about energy already know – it isn’t even about Boone.
So here is my suggestion – learn more. I’m not asking you to be an expert. There is no test. There is no grade.
I’m asking you to be literate about energy. Take 5 minutes a week and let someone in Washington, in your capital, in your community and in your home know that energy independence matters. Most of what you can do to help is laid out at www.pickenplan.com. All you need to do is fill out a few fields and the automated letters will be sent to your Senators, Representatives, Governors and our President.
